We had a patient pay us a visit complaining of hearing loss and discomfort. They have also been a sufferer of tinnitus for 20 years.
We painlessly removed two plugs of wax from their ear canal which lead to immediate relief from any discomfort, hearing loss and immediately improved their tinnitus!
This patient had spent years having MRI and CT scans to locate the source of their tinnitus with no luck, so we are absolutely over the moon to be the ones to have helped!
Unfortunately, due to the nature of tinnitus it can not be completely cured by wax removal, however we are so pleased to have put a smile on yet another patients face and have them leaving with an improved quality of life that they would not have got without visiting us!

Microsuction is an ear wax removal technique recommended by NICE as the safest method to remove excessive ear wax.
Ear microsuction entails the use of a gentle vacuum machine to leave the ear free of wax. A microscope allows us to see clearly into the ear to carry out the procedure. The end results for the patient are better hearing and cleaner ears.
A suction device is used to remove the earwax under a microscope. A small, thin wand is placed inside the ear canal to carefully suction the wax away.
Microsuction is usually pain free and most people find it relaxing!
